Infosys generally contains puzzle type questions in its aptitude test. However there are few exceptions in some cases where the tests could be pure quantitative aptitude type as well. But it is really good to stay prepared to solve puzzle type questions.

Below are three useful tips to solve infosys type puzzles.

Tip 1 : Don't Treat Puzzles As Puzzles.

The word "puzzle" immediately gives an impression that the questions are never going to be easy to solve. The word immediately brings a sense of fear even before reading the questions. But it is very important for you to understand the fact that puzzles are not actually puzzling questions, but little tricky questions which are evolved versions of quantitative aptitude questions. In other words, puzzles are a different and little confusing way of defining quantitative aptitude problems. This simple understanding is sure to make you feel easy while solving puzzles.

Tip 2 : Too Much Concentration Can Be A Blockade.

Too much concentration and focus on each and every question can at times be a real blockade. If you focus too much on one or few questions, the chances are that you are struck somewhere and not in a position to come out till you solve. Though this determination to try till the end is a great quality in several other exams, certainly this is not a good strategy in puzzle type questions. If you get struck with a puzzle, just stop working on it, move on to next puzzle. Who knows, you could manage a little bit of extra time at the end to complete the left over puzzle as well.

Tip 3 : Time Is Not A Constraint.

Don't ever think time is a constraint. You should call it a constraint only if your friends are given more time than what is given to you. Your friends are always your friends and are not supermen who can solve two puzzles with both hands to win you in the race. Just be matured enough to accept the fact that if the question paper is tough for you, it definitely is going to be tough for most of your friends as well. Hence, if the question paper is tough, try your best to solve as much as questions as you can instead of getting tensed or nervous.
